Bangladesh mourns

Bangladesh is mourning the demise of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud on Saturday. The government on Friday announced to officially mourn Late Saudi King Abdullah on January 24. President Abdul Hamid will fly to the Saudi capital of Riyadh today to offer state condolences. The national flag has been flying at half-mast at all government, semi-government and autonomous offices and educational institutions since 6am today. Special prayers will be held for Late Saudi King Abdullah who passed away on Friday in Riyadh at the age of 90. Abdullah ruled the world’s biggest oil exporting country for nearly a decade. He had been hospitalised since Dececember 31 with lung infection.
