3 stone workers killed in Sylhet

Sylhet Correspondent:Three stone workers were killed while extracting stones at Bisnakandi in Sylhet’s Gowainghat on Friday morning.

Two of the victims were identified as Zakir Mia, 20, and Tula Mia, 25, from Sunamganj Sadar, our Moulvibazar correspondent reports quoting police.

“The incident took place around 2:30am while workers were extracting stones on Basid Mia’s field near Badepasha Kheya Ghat,” said Delwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Gowainghat Police Station.

“They might have been buried under soil,” said the OC.

The bodies were being kept at Sunamganj Police Station.
