Due to physical illness, Dipen Dewan, a Member of Parliament from Rangamati Hill District, has resigned from his post as Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs. According to relevant sources, he formally submitted his resignation letter to the Prime Minister today.
In his resignation letter, Dipen Dewan stated that he has been suffering from various physical complications since assuming office. He mentioned that his illness has made it difficult for him to properly carry out the regular duties of the ministry.
He further elaborated that it is no longer possible for him to continue serving in this position, especially given the need to maintain the continuity of the government’s development activities and administrative work. Therefore, he deemed his resignation appropriate.
In the resignation letter, he requested the Prime Minister to accept his resignation.
Dipen Dewan has not yet made any official comment on the matter.
