For the month of November, the government has kept the prices of diesel, octane, petrol, and kerosene unchanged. Consequently, these fuel oils will be sold next month at the prices set for October.

This information was conveyed in a message from the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Thursday (October 29). According to the latest decision, the existing price structure for fuel oil will remain effective from November 1.

As per the gazette notification of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on September 20, the consumer-level prices were set at 135 Taka per liter for diesel, 165 Taka for octane, 160 Taka for petrol, and 155 Taka for kerosene. In November, these fuels will also be sold at their previously fixed prices.

In determining fuel oil prices in the country, the international market situation, import costs, and other relevant factors are taken into consideration. Changes in these components can affect the retail price of fuel.

Diesel is used as an important fuel in agriculture, goods transportation, and industrial factories. On the other hand, octane and petrol are used in various vehicles, including private cars. Kerosene is also used as fuel in various sectors.

Fuel prices are linked to transportation costs, commodity production, and the supply chain. Consequently, with fuel oil prices remaining unchanged in November, these fuels will be sold to consumers at their previously set prices.
