BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has created a huge vacuum in Bangladesh politics.
He made this comment in the briefing room of Evercare Hospital in the capital on Tuesday (December 30).
Mirza Fakhrul said, I did not think that you will have to come forward with this news. We were again hoping that he would recover as before.
He further said, today at 6 am our mother of democracy left us. The nation cannot compensate for this loss.
BNP Secretary General said, we cannot think that the leader who dedicated her whole life for democracy is not there. A huge vacuum has been created in the politics of Bangladesh.
Interim government chief advisor Dr. This BNP leader called after receiving the news of Muhammad Yunus’ death, he said that he called immediately. They will hold a cabinet meeting at 10 am. He said that he will discuss the burial with state dignity there. We will inform those programs later.
Earlier, Khaleda Zia died today at 6 am while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital. He was 80 years old at the time of his death.
