Khulna-Kolkata train service suspended for indefinite period
Passenger train service between Khulna and Kolkata(capital of West Bengal, India) which was launched on April 7 this year, now has been suspended for indefinite period.
Indian railways authorities have reportedly decided to stop the service for security reasons for temporary period.
Although the train service began marking Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Delhi visit in April, passengers could avail themselves of the opportunity once a week.
Earlier, the railways ministries of Bangladesh and India decided to maintain the schedule until August 3 and then run the train daily subject to adequate number of passengers.
