One detained with 35 gold bars in Benapole port
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh on Tuesday morning held a man with 35 gold bars weighing four kilograms at Putkhali frontier under Benapole port police station.
The commanding officer of 21 BGB Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Tariqul Hakim confirmed the incident.
The BGB commanding officer said tipped off the frontier force held Abdul Momin, 35, son of Noor Islam of Ulashi under Sharsha in Jessore while he was going towards India at around 10:30am.
The arrestee was handed over to the Benapole port police after enrolling a case.
