Asif denied bail, lands in jail

Asif Akbar to jail in a music piracy case filed by lyricist, composer and singer Shafiq Tuhin under the Information and Communication Technology or ICT Act.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Keshob Kumar Roy passed the order when investigation officer of the case and sub-inspector of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Proloy Roy filed a petition seeking a five-day remand for him.

Asif was held from his studio in FDC area in Dhaka, around 1:00am today, Molla Nazrul Islam, special superintendent (organised crime) of Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
