BNP( Bangladesh Nationalist Party) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday claimed that ruling Awami League is 'again attempting to come to power through the back door'.
He came down hard on food minister Quamrul Islam for his recent reported comment demanding resignation of the Chief Justice against the backdrop of delivering judgment scrapping the 16th amendment to the Constitution.
Fakhrul came up with his comments while briefly addressing before a prayer session at ground floor of BNP central office.
BNP arranged the prayer session as part of its countrywide prayer sessions at mosques, temples, churches and pagoda for quick recovery of party chairperson Khaleda Zia, who underwent a surgery at her right eye at Moorefields Eye Hospital in London on Tuesday.
