Bangladesh air flight annulled for shortage of hajj pilgrims

At least 419 pilgrims were supposed to fly to Saudi Arabia at 7:45pm by a dedicated hajj flight of Biman from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Mahbubur Rahman, public relation officer of civil aviation ministry told reporters.

The flight has been annulled due to shortage of pilgrims as private hajj tour operators went out to get visas of pilgrims within the schedule date, he said.

A fresh flight schedule will be declared later to carry the hajjis to Jeddah, the officer added.
