BCB announces Shakib as new T20 captain

Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been announced as the new T20 captain of Bangladesh national cricket team.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday took the decision in a board meeting. BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon disclosed this information after the meeting.

It was expected because during the Sri Lanka series, Papon told journalists that Shakib Al Hasan is the ultimate choice of the board as the skipper.

Earlier, Shakib led Bangladesh in all three formats of cricket. So, this type of task is not new for him as the best all-rounder of the world.
