Staff Correspondent:BNP has prolonged its moral support to leftist party sponsored six-hour hartal on February 28 protesting the recent gas price hike.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the party�s secretary general, unveiled the decision while speaking to reporters at a function in Thakurgaon on Saturday evening.
Leftist political parties declared the half-day hartal yesterday, a day into Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission raised gas prices for all consumers by 22.7 percent and decided to implement the hike in two phases.
