Customs Intelligence brought charges against Business tycoon Moosa Bin Shamsher on charge of using a luxurious car dodging tax worth Tk 2.17 crore.
Md Zakir Hossain, assistant revenue officer (ARO) of the customs intelligence, enrolled the case with Gulshan Police Station on Monday.
It is mentioned in the case that, Moosa used a Range Rover dodging tax and submitted unclear information to the customs about Tk 96,000 in a Swiss bank account.
During primary investigation, customs officials found that Moosa submitted baseless documents while the car was registered.
The officials seized the car from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka during a raid on March 21.
The Anti-Corruption Commission last year sued the controversial businessman for allegedly giving false information in his wealth statement.
