Defamation case filed in court against Khaleda Zia

Staff Correspondent: AB Siddiqui, president of Jananetri Parishad, has filed a defamation case against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on charges of insulting Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his organization Awami League.

AB Siddiqui submitted the application at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abdullah Al Masud on Wednesday.

According to the petition, on December 31 last year, the Institution of Engineers founding nationalist student she spoke as the chief guest on the occasion. He did not want the country's independence, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. She wanted Pakistan's prime ministership.

It has been known according to the petition, last year on 31 December; Khaleda Zia gave her statement as chief guest on the occasion of founding Nationalist Chattra Dal in Engineers Institutions.

She told Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur didn’t want freedom of the country. He wanted Pakistan’s prime ministership. The people of this country attend in Freedom war for the declaration of General Ziaur Rahman.

She said, ‘Awami League is looting money showing delay of the Padma bridge and the flyover in the name of development.'
