Staff Reporter:HT Imam, Prime Minister's political adviser, on Tuesday said the Election Commission, in the name of playing a neutral role, is doing act cruelly with the Awami League candidate in Comilla City Corporation polls slated for Thursday.
�In the name of showing neutrality, the EC has become impolite to Awami League,� he told journalists after a meeting with chief election commissioner KM Nurul Huda at the EC Secretariat at Agargaon in Dhaka.
The PM's adviser, however, categorically said the Awami League will provide all-out cooperation to the EC in holding CCC polls in a smooth and peaceful manner.
Replying to a query, Imam said, �We have objections in the connection of neutrality of some 15 to 16 presiding officers in Comilla. We urged the EC to take necessary actions after investigation.�
