Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday referred 'false' and 'fabricated' the recent report published on an online newspaper that the party chairperson Khaleda Zia had a conference with Pakistani military intelligence ISI and Jamaat-e-Islami representatives in London.
Addressing a press conference at the party central office, Mirza Fakhrul said a 'manufactured' photo of the 'so called' meeting was also posted online.
On the basis of online report, the ruling Awami League leaders and ministers are spreading 'false,' and 'baseless' information of Khaleda's meeting with Pakistan Inter-Service Intelligence and Jamaat, Fakhrul said.
He said the baseless story is not trustworthy saying earlier BNP senior joint secretary general made statements holding press conference on the matter.
Fakhrul said BNP has sent protestation to the newspaper concerned.
