Global ChatGPT Outage

Several of the world’s most popular artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots have simultaneously experienced major server outages. OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, and X (formerly Twitter)’s Grok—these three prominent AI platforms are currently facing significant downtime or an inoperative status.

User reports on DownDetector have surged, and the outages have also been confirmed on the platforms’ respective dashboards. While temporary shutdowns of AI services are not uncommon, it is quite rare for these three major popular services to become inoperative simultaneously. This outage has also impacted the AI agent ‘Cursor,’ which has been undoubtedly affected due to errors in Claude and Grok.

However, the good news is that Google’s Gemini remains fully operational so far. Although there has been a slight increase in user reports concerning Gemini, Google has not officially reported any outage yet.

It is speculated that a problem with Microsoft Azure might be behind this sudden outage, as Microsoft’s cloud service has also seen a significant spike in user reports at the moment. Although these platforms rely on various cloud services (including Google and other providers).
