The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has decided to reduce gold prices in the domestic market for the third time. This time, the organization has set the price of one bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold at BDT 2,22,782, following a reduction of BDT 6,591 per bhori.

BAJUS announced this information in a statement on Wednesday morning (June 10), attributing the decision to a decrease in the price of acid gold (pure gold) in the local market. Consequently, new gold prices have been determined after considering the overall market situation. These revised prices will be effective from 10:00 AM today.

According to the new prices, one bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold will be priced at BDT 2,22,782 in the domestic market. Furthermore, the price for one bhori of 21-carat gold has been set at BDT 2,12,635, 18-carat gold at BDT 1,82,250, and traditional method gold at BDT 1,48,424.

Earlier, BAJUS had last adjusted gold prices in the domestic market on the morning of June 6. At that time, the organization reduced the price of one bhori of 22-carat gold by BDT 5,482, setting it at BDT 2,29,373.

Additionally, the prices for one bhori of 21-carat gold were set at BDT 2,18,933, 18-carat gold at BDT 1,87,674, and traditional method gold at BDT 1,52,857. These prices became effective from 10:00 AM on that day.

With this latest adjustment, gold prices in the domestic market have now been revised 72 times so far this year. Prices have been increased 37 times and decreased 35 times. In 2025 (likely a typo for a past year, e.g., 2024), gold prices were adjusted a total of 93 times in the domestic market, with prices increasing 64 times and decreasing 29 times.
