Govt plans to set up mini stadium at each upazila, Zahid tells JS

State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel today told the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) that the government has a plan of setting up a mini stadium at each upazila across the country.

A project titled �Setting up Mini Stadium at Upazila Level- First Phase (131)� is being implemented. The stadiums were named after the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as Sheikh Russel Mini Stadium, he informed the House.

Zahid was replying a starred question made by Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASAD) lawmaker Shirin Akhter.

He said steps have been taken to set up mini stadium at Parshuram, Fulgazi and Chhagalnaiya upazilas of Feni district under the second phase of the project.
