Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned Arab countries that they could face severe consequences if they do not remove the United States from its military bases and installations on their territories.
Major General Yadollah Javani, Deputy Commander for Political Affairs of the IRGC, issued this warning in a statement on Wednesday (September 2).
He stated that it would be the best decision for Arab countries to remove US troops from their territories and regain control of their military bases.
Yadollah Javani further warned that any attack against Iran using the territory or airspace of Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, or any other country would not be tolerated. He cautioned that Iran’s armed forces would deliver a ‘decisive and destructive response’ in the event of such an attack.
This warning from Iran comes at a time when the US military presence in the Middle East and its long-standing tensions with Iran are once again a subject of discussion.
