Jamaat-Shibir should take Pakistani citizenship if they have an affinity for Jinnah: Rashed Khan

Rashed Khan has commented that if Jamaat-Shibir has so much love for Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, they should leave Bangladesh and take Pakistani citizenship. At the same time, he alleged that Jamaat-Shibir is moving forward with the goal of re-uniting Bangladesh with Pakistan.

He made these comments in a post on his verified Facebook account on Monday (September 14).

In his post, Rashed Khan claimed that if Jamaat-Shibir comes to power in the future, they will try to make Bangladesh a part of Pakistan. To support this claim, he cited the display of pictures in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) archive as an example.

He alleged, “Shibir has completely ‘Jamaat-ized’ DUCSU! DUCSU seems like Shibir’s main office! And as part of that, Jamaat-Shibir has hung pictures of anti-national and anti-language figures in DUCSU!”

Regarding the display of pictures in the DUCSU archive, Rashed Khan said that if pictures are to be hung, then the picture of people throwing shoes at Ghulam Azam in front of Baitul Mukarram in 1981 should also be kept there.

Referring to Jinnah, he said, “If Pakistan’s Father of the Nation, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, is so appealing to them, then Jamaat-Shibir should leave Bangladesh and acquire Pakistani citizenship!”

Rashed Khan further questioned, “Where does Jamaat-Shibir get the audacity to make anti-national forces relevant while staying in Bangladesh?”

He stated that if political resistance is not built against this force in time, they will turn Bangladesh into a province of Pakistan.
