Minimum temperature record in the capital, fear of more winter

The lowest temperature of the current season was recorded in the capital on Sunday (January 4). Besides, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said that the temperature may drop further in the country for the next few days, as a result of which the feeling of winter is likely to increase.

According to the information of Meteorological Department, the lowest temperature of the country was recorded at Srimangal in Moulvibazar on Sunday morning – 9.5 degrees Celsius. Yesterday, the minimum temperature was 9 degree Celsius in three places of the country. The places are Badalgachi, Pabna and Rajshahi in Naogaon. Compared to that today the minimum temperature of the country has slightly increased.

However, the temperature has decreased slightly in the capital Dhaka. The minimum temperature recorded in Dhaka this morning was 12.3 degrees Celsius, while yesterday it was 12.5 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologist Kazi Zebunnesa of the Department of Meteorology said that the severity of winter in the capital has increased slightly compared to yesterday. This trend may continue. Day temperature may rise by one degree Celsius today. But the night temperature may drop again.

He also said that the temperature of the whole country may decrease in the next two-one days from Sunday. It may continue to rise by one degree on the 7th. However, the temperature is likely to increase by two to three degrees from January 10. Generally the temperature depends on the fog. If it is more, heat decreases and cold is felt. Over the next few days there may be more fog across the country. As a result, the cold may be felt more.
