BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday (Dec 22) said no election will be held in the country keeping its chairperson Khaleda Zia behind bars.
“We will seal off all jails of the country and no ‘manipulated’ election would be allowed in the country if the BNP chief is convicted in any false case and she is sent to jail,” Fakhrul warned.
BNP leader came up with the warning while addressing a rally at Dhanhati playground in Boda upazila.
He alleged that the government is hatching conspiracy to hold the election with Khaleda in prison. But BNP will not participate in any election keeping party Chairperson Khaleda Zia in jail, he said.UNB.
The Awami League government is trying to keep Khaleda Zia and her family members away from politics and elections. And for this, they are spreading propaganda against Khaleda Zia and her family members.
BNP organising secretary Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu, Boda municipality unit BNP acting president Md Afazaul Islam, among others, spoke at the rally.
