Obaidul Quader, Road Transport and Bridges Minister, on Wednesday inaugurated the construction of viaduct and elevated station at Agargaon in the capital.
The total works on the metro rail project is divided into eight packages. Of which, works on package 3 and 4 were inaugurated today near the Parishankhyan Bhaban in Agargaon.

Under the packages, nine stations will be built from Uttara to Agargaon.
The minister said the construction works of the metro rail was delayed by eight months due to a militant attack on Holey Artisan Bakery at Gulshan in July last year.
"Metro rail project is one of the biggest projects undertaken by the Prime Minister. It is a dream project which is being implemented," he said.
