BD vs Ind warm up match to be held tomorrow
Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh will start their tour against India with a warm-up game against India A at the Gymkhana Ground in Hyderabad.
Considering that the Tigers have just returned from a long tour of New Zealand, the two-day warm-up game against the second-string Indian team will be a good chance for them to readjust to the sub-continental familiar conditions.
For pacers like Taskin Ahmed and Kamrul Islam Rabbi, the warm-up game will be especially important because they potentially have to readjust their line-and-length on the Hyderabad wicket.
Traditionally, the Hyderabad wicket hasn’t entertained swing bowlers. Bowlers who can reverse the ball though have managed to extract a bit.
The slip cordon, which dropped a number of catches during the New Zealand series, was seen working hard with Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Imrul Kayes more focused than usual.
The team for tomorrow’s practice match hasn’t been declared as yet, however, it is likely that Bangladesh will make their main players play in the game in order to give them as much experience as possible. The warm-up game will take place from February 5 to 6.
The one-off Test match will begin at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on February 9.
