Fakhrul advises all the leaders to get united
Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday cleared the necessity for getting the party activists united and forging national unity to remove the incumbent ‘evil force.’
He came up with statements addressing a discussion to mark fifth anniversary of missing of BNP former organizing secretary (Sylhet division) M Ilias Ali, also a former lawmaker.
Sylhet Bibhag Sanghati Sammialani organized the programme at Institution of Diploma Engineers in the city.
Outspoken BNP leader Ilias along with his chauffer Ansar Ali went missing from the capital’s Banani on April 17, 2012. Law enforcers allegedly had picked them up.
At the day’s discussion some BNP senior leaders regretted the present ‘sorry state’ of the organisation having lack of fellow feelings.
Fakhrul said if the BNP activists get united and could unite the nation, the incumbent ‘evil force’ would not be able to stay in power.
He said they could not take strong stand on issue of Ilias’s disappearance although BNP had observed a successful blockade soon after Ilias subjected to ‘enforced disappearance.’
Later the movement gradually died down, he said adding they could take the issue before international organisations to fully expose the mask of the government.
