Country has become a death valley due to the anarchies of the government
Nagarik Oikya convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna on Saturday claimed that the whole country has become a death valley due to the anarchies of the government.
Manna urged the ruling Awami League to leave the state power after holding an ‘acceptable and participatory’ general election in the country.
Speaking at a human chain in front of Jatiya Sangsad (national parliament), he said that the current parliament has become ‘dysfunctional’ and it did not have any legality to continue.
‘It is time for the ruling Awami League to go. So leave the power after holding an acceptable and participatory parliamentary election,’ he said.
Manna said that the AL did not abide by the verdict of Supreme Court as the highest court had suggested the government to hold two more elections under the caretaker government.
He said that the present government turned the country into a policing state and party men were doing whatever they liked but remained out of arrest and punishment.
