Raid at Khaleda Zia Gulshan office ends

Police ended their raid on BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office on Saturday morning, reports UNB.

The raid came to an end around 9:30am and policemen went out from the office around 10am as they did not find any anti-state document there.

Police, following a search warrant issued by the court, carried out the raid on the BNP chief's Gulshan office to find out whether there is any anti-state document in it, said Abu Bakar Siddique, officer-in-charge of Gulshan Police Station.

They fenced off the office blocking the two entry points of Road No 86 around 6am, took position in front of the office and started the drive around 8am, said the OC.

Sohrab, a BNP office staff, told UNB that police personnel entered the office around 7:30 am.

Being informed about the raid, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi entered in the Gulshan party office around 8:45am.

Terming the raid as conspiracy against BNP, he said that police conducted the drive to make Khaleda Zia upset mentally centring an anonymous General Diary (GD).

Rizvi also said that police gave a written statement mentioning that their result is zero.
