Staff Correspondent: There is shortage of manpower in Railway, said Railway Minister Mujibul Haque. He said Bangladesh Railway has a total of 459 stations. At present, about 138 stations activities are about to close.
He replied in Parliament on Monday afternoon of Begum Pin Khan's (women seat: 23)written question.
Earlier in the afternoon, the session of Parliament begins over presided by Speaker D. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury.
Railway Minister said, already 267 official station masters have been appointed. Therein 139 persons of them have been appointed after proper training at the same station. Remaining 128 person�s training will be finished in April month of this year.
He added that at the end of the training, described assistant station masters will be posted in varieties stations to reduce the number of closed stations.
