The country’s politicians mourn the death of Begum Khaleda Zia

Leaders of various political parties in the country have mourned the death of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. Khaleda Zia (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun) died on Tuesday (December 30) morning at Evercare Hospital in the capital.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said in his post on Facebook, “We are deeply saddened by the death of our chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.” Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun.

Amir of Jamiat Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said in a condolence message, “May Almighty Allah have mercy on the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, forgive her and accept her as a guest of his beloved Paradise.” May Allah give patience to his relatives, loved ones and colleagues.’

Jonaid Saki, chief coordinator of Mass Solidarity Movement, wrote in a Facebook post, ‘BNP Chairperson former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is no more! Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun. We are deeply saddened by his death!’

Furthermore, Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary of the interim government’s chief adviser, expressed grief over Khaleda Zia’s death by posting on Facebook.
