Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-4) arrested three top terrorists along with foreign firearms and fresh bullets in raids in Pallabi and Shah Ali areas of the capital. Squadron Leader Nazmul Islam, the captain of RAB-4, gave this information to reporters in a briefing held on Friday (January 2) morning.
The arrested terrorists are- Faizur Rahman alias Don Mukti, Shakir Ahmed alias Hockey Sumon and Golam Mostafa Kamal alias Suter Bappi.
According to RAB, based on secret information, they were arrested in a raid in Chatbari Beribandh area under Shah Ali Police Station of the capital. Later, based on the information given by the arrested terrorists, two foreign firearms, one magazine and 11 rounds of live ammunition were seized from Pallavi area.
According to RAB, they were carrying out various terrorist activities including extortion in Mirpur, Pallabi, Rupnagar and Shah Ali police stations using the seized weapons. There are multiple cases of murder, robbery, robbery, arms and drug laws against the arrested three persons.
Meanwhile, RAB said, earlier on December 29, their associate notorious drug dealer Babu alias Picchi Babu was arrested along with 350 pieces of Yaba.
