Sports Desk:Tigers lost the 50-over warm up match on Tuesday by just two runs against Sri Lanka President XI but boost their confidence ahead of the three-match one-day international series with some good batting.
Sri Lankan outfits posted a massive 354-7 and though Bangladesh side made 352-7 they will take the inspiration from their two senior players- skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza and Mahmudullah.
Mahmudullah, who was axed from the Colombo Test, needed to score a boundary in the last ball but he could make only one run though his not out 71-run innings of 68 balls will surely inspire him before the ODI series.
Chasing the mammoth total Bangladesh were reduced to 239-7 in the 39th over but Mashrafee took the long handle and scored a swash-buckling 58 off just 35 balls with four fours and equal number of sixes.
Sabbir Rahman and Mosaddek Hossain scored 72 and 53 respectively and opener Soumya Sarkar made 47.
