Viqarunnisa Noon School and College today suspended the three accused teachers over the suicide of class nine student Aritry Adhikary.
The institution’s governing body took the decision to remove them after an emergency meeting following a government order on Wednesday.
Dilip Adhikary, the father of the dead ninth grader Aritry Adhikary, already started a case against the three accusing them of instigating the girl to take her own life.
Earlier in the day, the ministry sent letters to Rab and police urging to take legal steps against three teachers of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College over suicide of a class nine student.
The letters were sent to the director general of Rab and DMP commissioner this afternoon. The ministry also sent letters to the chairman of Dhaka Education Board and director general of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education seeking departmental action and suspension of their wages respectively.
