US President Donald Trump addressed the opening ceremony of the Republican Party’s midterm election conference in Dallas, Texas. In his keynote speech on Wednesday local time, he blamed the previous administrations’ environmentally friendly policies for the country’s rising cost of living. The American news agency AP reported this.
Trump claimed that his administration ‘quickly’ brought down the prices of ‘almost everything,’ including food items. He also commented that oil prices would decrease once the war with Iran is concluded with a victory.
Trump stated, ‘Oil prices will drop immediately after we win the war with Iran. We will win. We are winning. We control the Strait of Hormuz.’
The US President also proposed renaming the waterway between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman as the ‘Trump Strait.’
Regarding this, Trump said, ‘I’m sure the Iranian leadership will be very pleased with that.’
Labeling Iran as the ‘bully’ of the Middle East, Trump stated that Iran had been ‘bullying’ the Middle East for the past 51 years, but currently, ‘they are no longer that bully.’
