Naval Police have arrested a young woman named Disha in connection with the death of former Flight Lieutenant K.M. Tahsif Saurin. Meanwhile, investigators are interrogating Deep, who is currently on a four-day remand.

Tongi Naval Police Inspector Firoz Ahmed stated that the young woman named Disha was arrested on Saturday night (October 31). Deep, who is on remand, has been undergoing interrogation since midnight in connection with the incident.

Sources involved in the investigation indicate that following a complaint filed by Tahsif’s family regarding his death, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) initially took his constant companion and junior friend, Deep, into custody for questioning. During the interrogation, Deep provided information to the police about the various places he visited with Tahsif and the reasons for those visits.

However, investigation sources claim that inconsistencies were found in Deep’s statements. Subsequently, the PBI inspected various locations based on the information he provided.

Naval Police sources state that Deep is being interrogated on remand by cross-referencing his previous statements, the family’s complaint, CCTV footage, and evidence found during the investigation. Investigators are attempting to ascertain what transpired before Tahsif’s death and whether any other individuals are involved in the incident.

After the four-day remand, the information provided by Deep will be verified. Concerned officials have indicated that an application might be made to take him on remand again if deemed necessary.
