Faisal was already released on bail for the purpose of murdering Sharif Osman bin Hadi, the spokesperson of Inkilab Manch, said Fatima Tasnim Juma, spokesperson of the organization’s Dhaka University (DU) branch. He made this complaint in a post on social media Facebook on Saturday (January 3).
Fatima Tasneem Juma wrote in the post, “Faisal was released on bail for this murder. Who in the government lobbied for this bail? Which judge gave this verdict? Who was he appointed by? Which lawyer got bail? Through whose channel did he come to Inkilab?”
In another part, he wrote, “The one who has been arrested in the name of Kabir, was with Faisal on the day of the first assassination attempt at the center. Apart from Faisal, there is a great possibility that he also has a lead. Still, why is there no progress in the case? It is said that no new information is available? If the journalists inquiring about the answers to these questions open up a lot of tangles in front of the nation.”
Fatima Tasnim Juma complained that even after the murders, there are still questions about the progress of the case and there is public concern about the transparency of the investigation.
It should be noted that miscreants shot Sharif Osman Bin Hadi in the head on the Box Culvert Road of Old Paltan, Dhaka on December 12, the day after the announcement of the schedule of the Thirteenth National Parliament Election and Referendum. First he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Later, when his condition worsened, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital.
He was later flown to Singapore by air ambulance on December 15 for further treatment. However, he died on the evening of December 19 while undergoing treatment there. Hadi’s body was brought home that day.
Hadi’s funeral was held at 2:30 pm on December 20 at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan with the participation of lakhs of people. At the end of the funeral, he was buried at the tomb of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
