Staff Reporter:Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Wednesday detained 11 persons for their alleged involvement in ATM card forgery from different areas in Dhaka.
The identity of the detainees could not be come to light immediately.
They used to fish huge amount of money by cloning cards in alliance with dishonest shop employees at different shopping malls in the city, said Mufti Mahmud Khan, director (media), of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
They cloned cards using devices installed at different stores, he said. A stash of fake ATM cards and card making materials were seized from their possession, he added.
