4 killed in road crashes in two districts

Online Desk:Four people were killed and 12 others wounded in separate road accidents in Bagerhat and Dinajpur district on Saturday morning.

In Dinajpur, three people were killed and 10 others wounded in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck atRanipukurin Nababganjupazilaon Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Debbrata Saha, 40, hailing from Narsingdi, truck driver Jhantu Miah, 42, hailing from Jhenidah, and bus driver Abdus Salam, 45, hailing from Naogaon.

Abdul Hakim Azad, officer-in-charge of Nababganj Police Station, said a bus of �Bablu Enterprise� from Dinajpur collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction in the area around 6.00am, leaving trio dead on the spot and 10 others injured.

The injured were taken to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital.

In Bagerhat, a man was killed and two others injured as a bus hit a van on Bagerhat-Pirojpur highway in Doratana Toll Plaza area of the district town around 11am.

On secret information Police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.

The injured were admitted at the hospital.
