6 cops among 7 injured in Sonagazi gunfight

Feni Correspondent:Six cops and one drug trader were injured in a gunfight at Sonagazi upazila of Feni district early Saturday.

The gunfight took place around 5:00am between police and drug traders at a house �Bolakapathan� of Sarait Kandi area in the upazila.

After being informed, police conducted a drive at the house. Sensing presence of the law enforcers, they opened fire on them, prompting to retaliate, triggering a gunfight, leaving six police and one drug trader injured.

Police also recovered 10 kilogram hemp, 800 pieces of Yaba tablets, 100 packets of heroin, foreign wine and arrested two drug traders from the spot.
