Staff Correspondent:Seven Bangladeshi nationals, including two women, returned Bangladesh from India on Thursday after languishing in jail there for nearly two years.
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) handed them over to Bangladesh authorities through Benapole check post at night.
The returnees are Laboni Khatun, 16, Marufa Khatun, 15, Didar Ali, 13, Rashed Mia, 14, Sharif Ali, 15, Rakib Hossain, 16, and Sohel Mia, 13.
Iqbal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Benapolecheck-postimmigration police, said all the seven had gone to India illegally in search ofjobthree years back. Later, they were arrested from Kolkata and sent to jail.
The decision to return them was taken followinginterventionof the home ministries of the both countries.
