The government has promoted Md. Ali Hossain Fakir, Additional IGP and Chief of the Armed Police Battalion (APBN), to the position of the new Inspector General of Police (IGP).
This information was conveyed in a gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday.
The notification states that Md. Ali Hossain Fakir has been promoted and appointed to the highest rank in the Bangladesh Police, that of IGP. He previously served as the Chief of the Armed Police Battalion.
