Prime Minister Tareque Rahman announced that 2 lakh students in the country’s primary schools will receive free school uniforms. He shared this information on Wednesday during the session of the Jatiya Sangsad while responding to various questions from Members of Parliament.

The Prime Minister stated, “I am grateful to those who voted. It is also my responsibility to work for those who did not vote.” He added that the government has already initiated various programs in line with its election manifesto.

He further mentioned that 1.5 crore saplings of various species would be planted during the current monsoon season, which will play a significant role in environmental protection and greening.

Regarding inflation, the Prime Minister said there is no fear of inflation due to the introduction of Family Cards and Farmer Cards. Rather, these initiatives will further boost the economy of marginalized communities. He informed that an additional 30,000 families would be brought under the Family Card scheme in the next three months, and a total of 4 crore families over the next four years.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, a specific 30-minute slot was allocated for the Prime Minister in the day’s agenda. This arrangement follows a prior proposal to introduce a dedicated question-and-answer session for the Prime Minister on a specific day in Parliament.
