Bangladesh Railway has begun selling of returning tickets for Eid journeys from Friday.
The return tickets for the journeys of September 3 are available on August 25, and for September 4 on August 26, for September 5 on August 27, for September 6 on August 28 and for September 7 on August 29.
The train tickets are available at Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Dinajpur and Lalmonirhat stations.
Minister Mazibul said Bangladesh Railway has rejected holidays of its officials to ensure undisrupted service for the Eid passengers.
He said additional measures have been taken to make confirmed security.
Seven pairs of special train services will be linked specially for the purpose of Eid journey, which will begin operation from four days before Eid and will continue till a week after.
Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival for Muslims, is likely to be held on September 2.
The ticket sale starts at 8:00am and each passenger will be able to buy maximum four tickets.
