Marking the 3rd anniversary ofJanuary,2014 national election, Ruling party of the country Awami League (AL) is observing 'Victory Day for Democracy' on Thursday,
The 10th parliamentary election was held on January 5, 2014. Major political parties, including the BNP, had boycotted the election.
The ruling party will hold rally and victory procession in district, city and upazila levels to mark the day.
As part of the central programme, AL Dhaka South City unit will hold a rally at Bangabandhu Avenue at 3 pm while AL Dhaka North City Unit at Rusell Square at the same time.
In a statement on Wednesday, AL general secretary and Road Transport and Bridges minister Obaidul Quader urged all associated bodies to observe the day with programmes announced by the Central Working Committee.
