Almost 6 kg gold seized at airport, 1 held

Customs intelligence seized almost 6 kg gold and held a passenger from Shahajalal International Airport in the capital early Sunday.

The arrestee Abdur Razzak, 48 came to Dhaka by a flight of Malaysia airlines at 1:30am.

Assistant commissioner of Dhaka customs HM Ahsan Habib said customs intelligence seized the gold from Razzak’s luggage when he was crossing green channel.

The price of the gold is at least Tk 2.70 crore.
