Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has put emphasis on developing trade and investment between Bangladesh and European Union (EU) member states.
“Bangladesh is setting up 100 economic zones across the country so that EU member states can invest for mutual advantages and thus accelerate Bangladesh’s economic activities,” she said.
The Prime Minister said this when outgoing EU Ambassador Pierre Mayaudon met her at her office.
PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told the reporters after the meeting.
He said the EU Ambassador also laid emphasis on improvement of trade and investment with Bangladesh, and clinched the process made in Bangladesh-EU business dialogue to improve business environment in Bangladesh.
