Bangladesh’s hopes of a clean sweep against Australia were dashed after a narrow one-wicket defeat in the third and final One Day International (ODI) of the series, held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Despite the loss in this particular match, the Tigers created history by securing the overall series victory.

Earlier, Bangladesh had convincingly secured the three-match ODI series by winning the first two matches with impressive performances. This achievement marked the first time the hosts had ever won an ODI series against Australia.

In the final match of the series, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. The Tigers posted a competitive total of 274 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Tawhid Hridoy was the top scorer for the team with 83 runs, while Litton Das contributed 58, and Mosaddek Hossain played a crucial innings of 55 runs.
