Cox�s Bazaar Correspondent: Personnel of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) pushed back at least 100 Rohingyas to Myanmar when they were making an attempt to intrude Bangladesh territory through the Teknaf and Ukhia.
BGB personnel intercepted the trespassers at three different points of the Naf river on Monday morning.
Lt Col Abu Jar al Zahid, captain Teknaf BGB Battalion-2, said some 74 Rohingyas were trying to enter Bangladesh territory illegally riding by 3 boats through three different points between 5 am to 9 am on Friday.
Later, the BGB team waylaid the Rohingyas and pushed them back to Myanmar, he added.
Hundreds of Rohingya Muslims tried to intrude into Bangladesh in an invalid way after Myanmar troops launched a crackdown in the Rakhine state in response to attacks on three border posts on October 9 that killed nine police officers.
