BNP is going to stage a nationwide demonstration across the country tomorrow as the party has not been allowed to hold its rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka today.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed declared the protest programme at a briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in the afternoon.
On Monday, BNP begged for permission from Dhaka Metropolitan Police for holding today’s rally at Suhrawardy Udyan but it was not given permission to hold rally.
The party was appointed to hold the rally protesting Saturday’s police drive at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office.
