Two laborers were killed in a fire following a boiler blast in BSCIC industrial area of the Kushtia district on Monday noon, UNB reports.
Liakat Ali, assistant director of Kushtia Fire Service, said the fire erupted as the boiler of MRS Industries, a sister concern of BRB cable group, went off around 12pm.
On information, five fire fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after one hour frantic effort.
Later, they also rescued the charred bodies of Saidullah, 40, haling from Jhenidah district and S M Rashid, 50, hailing from Chuadanga district, from the factory.
Three other people, including a fire fighter of Kumarkhali fire service, were injured in the fire.
